Important

We do not recommend simultaneous consumption of herbs and pharmaceutical drug medication (prescription or over-the-counter) due to possible harmful interaction and adverse reactions.

The recommended diet

The recommended diet for this cleanse, as with all of the cleanses formulated by the herbalist Djehuty Ma’at-Ra, is a strictly raw foods, plant-based diet consisting of “your” favorite fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and grains (sprouted). Whatever you like to eat, just eat it raw, and as much as you like. That simple!

Breakfast

Raw, fresh, organic (preferably) fruit and/or a fruit smoothie. Fruit consumption is best in the morning. After all, technically you’re breaking a “fast”, hence the first meal of the day, breakfast.

Lunch

A big, green, leafy, cruciferous salad (Romaine, green lettuce, no iceberg as it is devoid of nutrition). Add tomatoes, cucumbers, chickpeas, corn, olives, shredded carrots, shredded radish, green peppers. Keep it fresh and raw. Good dressings: extra-virgin olive oil, lemon or lime juice, apple cider vinegar and sea salt, or the “Follow Your Heart” brand. Tabouli salad and coleslaw with vegan mayonnaise also work.

Dinner

A repeat of the lunch selection. In Fall or Winter you may have hot soup, vegetable stew or vegetable broth. If you need something filling, brown or wild rice with steamed vegetables. Just don’t make an excuse to eat like this during the entire cleanse.

Snacks

Organic raisins, dates, sulfur-free dried fruits, dried fruit-vegetable chips and trail mix. Make sure snacks are sulfur free.

Tea

The best tea to consume while performing this or any of our cleanses is our 20-Day Cleanse Tea. Because tea is herbal and therapeutic, drink as much as you like: 1 to 4 cups per day will suffice.

Juice

It is highly recommended by Djehuty to drink fresh-squeezed fruit and vegetable juice during your cleanse, as much as possible.

If you’re cleansing and must travel and need to find a health store or a raw foods, vegan, macrobiotic or vegetarian restaurant, the best resource on the internet is www.HappyCow.net. Download their app on your phone (there may be a small fee). You won’t regret it.

Do not combine cleanses

It is not recommended that you perform any other cleanse or regimen while performing the Full Body Detox. Refrain from consuming supplements, including vitamins, minerals, and other herbal supplements of any kind, until you’ve completed it.

While you cleanse

We recommend exercising (strenuous and subtle, your choice), yoga, walking, stretching, biking, swimming, chakra balancing, enemas and colonics, sauna (steam, far infrared), massage, chiropractic, acupressure, yoni steams, sweat lodging, and ear coning or candling.

It is ideal to cleanse the body every seasonal change, or four times a year. Once is the minimum and four times the maximum, for those really serious about their health and who desire to live in harmony with Nature. The best times are the month before your birthday and six months from your birthday, times your body’s energy is lowest.

It is not recommended that individuals engage in sexual intercourse while cleansing, if one has the discipline. This is optional. That said, detoxing is known to restore the libido by rebooting and recalibrating the sexual reproductive system.

The benefits of cleansing include more energy, weight reduction, better or optimal functioning of body organs, glands and systems, a clearer sense of being as well as thinking, radiant glowing skin, improved sex drive, improved sleep, a new zest for life, and so much more.

The Healing Crisis

Also known as the Law of Cure or Herxheimer Reaction, this may occur depending on your level of toxicity. It simply means you may feel worse before feeling better: a temporary worsening of symptoms after beginning a new healing modality. Your menstrual cycle may start earlier than normal (a woman’s uterus is her sixth channel of elimination), you may develop a severe cough (the body expelling hardened mucus), or feel constipated before pooping galore. It may feel as if the herbs are making you feel worse. They are not. Your body is healing, so persist and do not give in. The Law of Cure is the basis of all healing. Healing is from the inside out. Not to worry.
