Key examples include slippery elm, marshmallow root, aloe vera, licorice, flaxseed, chia seeds, and oats, which work by coating tissues to reduce irritation and promote healing, often used for dry coughs, gastritis, or IBS
Our Demulcent Formula can help relieve irritation of the mucous membranes in the mouth by forming a protective film which can be helpful for sore throat/throat irritation. Additionally, the formula is useful for dry coughs, gastritis, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Also highly recommended for smokers, especially cigarette smokers.
