Pure essential oil of Citronella
Properties, Indications, & Uses: Antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory; good in blends for soaps and perfumes and for scenting rooms and repelling bugs. The oil can be used to clean and deodoraize cooking surfaces (e.g. use 5 drops and an ounce of vinegar as a wash for counters and stovetops).
Essential oil of Citronella slows or prevents the growth or spread of harmful airborne bacteria, repels flying insects, uplifts negative moods, and relaxes the body and mind. It is reputed to reduce muscles spasms, ease headaches, and boost energy.
Indicated for: Insecticide and pesticide; for pelvic pain, rheumatism, and arthritis. A major ingredient in an insecticide/pesticide blend (along with essential oils of Lemongrass, Sage, Tea Tree, Clove, Lemon, Eucalyptus, Wormwood, Cajeput, Peppermint, White Camphor, etc.).
Scent: Grassy, fruity, slightly herbaceous and a bit of citrus odor.
Components: Citronellal and Geraniol.
Ingredient: Cymbopogon nardus
